Telfar To Open First Flagship Store In NYC’s SoHo

Telfar is opening its first-ever flagship store in New York City.

The 10,000-square-foot store is set to open on Nov. 23 in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, Hypebeast reported.

The shop, which is made possible by creative director Babak Radboy, will offer a TV studio where customers can film their own fashion content. And their content will be shown on digital screens in the store. The unique tech features in the store are inspired by TELFARTV, the brand’s television channel.

Telfar has also designed a Chinese takeout-look-alike menu in the store, which displays every bag the brand ever made. Additionally, the store will have a menu for bags that are yet to be released.

Speaking with Good Morning America, Telfar Clemens, the designer behind the ubiquitous brand, said his goal is to bring all the Telfar brands under one roof.

“I’m a 360 brand that makes everything from bags, clothes, jewelry, accessories, everything. So, you know, I basically want to have everything under one umbrella and actually have the full vision,” he said. “Come to the store, get what you want, hang out with us. It’s an interactive store, so it’s going to be lots of things going on.”

Everyone from Beyoncé and Bella Hadid to Naomi Osaka and Zoë Kravitz counts themselves as Tefar fans. Beyoncé even shouted out Telfar in the closing track off her Grammy-winning Renaissance album.

“This Telfar bag imported, Birkins, them sh**s in storage,” she sings in the final seconds of “Summer Renaissance.”

Oprah Winfrey included the coveted Telfar bag on her Favorite Things list in 2020, 2023 and 2024.
