Roger Rosengarten And Myles Garrett Had The Most Heartfelt Jersey Swap Moment: ‘You Ain’t Never A Nobody’

A Baltimore Ravens rookie got unexpected motivational words from his competition during a game.

There’s always a moment between players during a game that shows some of their character off the field. A video clip from HBO’s Hard Knocks series captured a heartfelt exchange at the final AFC North game between the Ravens and Cleveland Browns. Offensive tackle Roger Rosengarten, the 62nd pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, had another goal outside of winning the game: get Myles Garrett‘s gameday jersey.

“I know I’m a nobody,” he told Garrett the footage. “But, if I could get that jersey after?”

Garrett responded by not only granting his wish, but also reminding him how valuable he is to his team.

“Hey, you’re in this league. Y’all are winning games. Y’all looking great. You ain’t never a nobody,” Garrett responded. “I got you.”

The Ravens defeated the Browns 35-10 to place first in their division. Per the franchise’s website, the team is wrapping up the regular season strong with a 12-5 record and riding a four-game winning streak. They’re set to compete against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL playoffs Wild Card Round on Jan. 11.

As for Rosengarten, who is 22 years old, the Colorado native played college football at the University of Washington. In 2022, the College Football News named him First Team Freshman All-American. And during the 2023 season, Rosengarten won the Joe Moore Award, which recognizes “the Most Outstanding Offensive Line Unit in College Football,” according to its website.
