NFL legend Randy Moss shared news with his fans on Sunday as he prepared to join his colleagues on Sunday NFL Countdown. Shortly before starting the show, Moss went to social media to tell the public that he’s dealing with an “internal” health issue.
Moss addressed his health issues after he recently received a message from a fan on social media who said the hall-of-famer’s eyes look yellow. As he went to Instagram on Sunday, Moss asked his supporters for prayers.
“Throughout the week of the holidays, your boy has been battling something internally. I just ask for all the prayer warriors to put their blessed hands on me and my family through these hard times,” he said in a video message.
Moss also revealed the glasses he will be wearing on TV due to his eye condition.
“You know people were talking about my eyes last week,” he said. “And you know I’m here, so if you see these [sunglasses] on Sunday NFL Countdown — Adam Schefter calls them the Michigan turnover glasses that they sent from Ohio last night — so I just let it go with these…like I said I’m battling something man and it’s something internal. Your boy going to get through it. I’ve got a great team of doctors and a great family around me. All you men get your check-ups and get your blood work done.”
Moss once again addressed his situation during the Sunday NFL Countdown broadcast. The legendary wide receiver continued to ask for prayer and reiterated that he will be wearing glasses during the show.
“I just want to let the viewers know that me and my wife, me and my family, we are battling something internally. I have some great doctors around me,” he said. “I couldn’t miss the show. I wanted to be here with you guys.”

The 47-year-old football legend totaled 15,292 yards and 156 touchdowns during his NFL career, per Athlon Sports.
