Wilberforce University is exploring the possibility of bringing back its football program after decades of inactivity. In a statement released on September 17, the university announced it is conducting a feasibility study to determine if reviving its once-storied HBCU football team is a viable option. “As Wilberforce prepares to surpass 1,000 students in enrollment by 2026, it’s time to revisit the legacy and potential of our football program,” said Wilberforce president Dr. Vann R.
