Blavity’s Shadow and Act has an exclusive preview of this week’s episode of The Equalizer on CBS, starring Queen Latifah.
In the episode, McCall (Queen Latifah) and Mel (Liza Lapira) go undercover, and Queen Latifah just may be giving an unintentional nod to one of her most iconic films, Set it Off.
Here’s the official logline of Season 5 Episode 6, titled “The Fight for Life”:
McCall and Mel go undercover in a prison to find a woman who went missing on the day she was scheduled to be released.
The episode was written by Faythallegra Claude and directed by Benny Boom. The Equalizer also stars Tory Kittles, Adam Goldberg, Laya DeLeon Hayes and Lorraine Toussaint.
The new episode airs Sunday at 10 p.m. on CBS and will stream later on Paramount+.
