Sydney Sweeney appears to have gone into the business of promoting her new line of lingerie with a stunt at a famous landmark in Los Angeles, and the stunt appears to be illegal.
Sweeney appears in videos climbing what appears to be the letter “H” of the famous Hollywood sign at night. The videos show Sweeney climbing the hill with a film crew.
At the top of the hill, she hangs a rope between the letters and hangs several bras as a clothesline, then looks at the result with satisfaction.
According to sources cited by TMZ, Sweeney was filming a promotion for her own line of lingerie, and the sources said the film crew had big investors, including Jeff Bezos, who explains Sweeney’s appearance at Bezos’ wedding to Lauren Sánchez last summer.
However, Sweeney and her film crew are likely to face serious legal issues for what they did. The film crew had a permit from FilmLA to film near the sign, but they did not have permission to make contact with the sign.
An email sent by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which owns the sign, was sent to TMZ and said the film crew was told they could not film or use images of the sign without permission.
Sweeney and her crew are likely to face charges of trespassing and vandalism for what they did. The president of the Chamber said, “There was no permission granted to do this as is required.”
