In an attempt to show how much money people spend when attending the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, Sophie Rain disclosed that she shelled out a whopping amount of $198,845.86 during her weekend visit to the festival.
“How much does it cost to go to Coachella with receipts?” she asked at the beginning of the video.
Although the influencer admitted she is “not a brand-friendly influencer,” Rain pointed out that she had no sponsorships and paid for all activities out of pocket. “I paid for Coachella all on my own,” she continued. In total, there were 12 people in what Rain called the “bop house,” along with assistants and stylists.
“I’m going to Coachella with the entire bop house, the assistants, and the stylist, so I had to get 12 tickets,” said the influencer. The cost of purchasing tickets amounted to $67,980. That sum accounted for 12 artist passes and the reservation of a table at the main stage. “We got 12 artist passes and a table at the main stage, and it ended up being $67,980,” Rain said.
She further pointed out that her return private plane trip cost $37,490. “You guys know me, so obviously I booked a private jet,” she mentioned.
One of the biggest expenses the influencer incurred was hotel accommodation. As she mentioned, they had initially booked an apartment well in advance for $29,000; however, the owners canceled the booking three days before the festival. “We originally had an Airbnb booked way in advance for $29,000, but they canceled on us three days before the event, so we had to book another Airbnb, and that total was $83,375,” said Rain.
As for styling, Rain mentioned that she paid the stylist $5,000 for clothing.
“The total cost for three days at Coachella is $198,845.86,” Rain summed up at the end of the video. After that, she asked her fans: “Do you guys think this is worth it?”
