Against Wagner, Norfolk State scored two early touchdowns but missed an extra point, giving them a 13-0 lead. Wagner capitalized on turnovers, scoring once in the second and again in the third quarter, though they missed both extra points, putting Norfolk ahead 13-12 going into the fourth.
Wagner then scored early in the fourth for an 18-13 edge, and Norfolk State failed to mount a response, turning the ball over and going three-and-out on their final possessions.
