Polygon reported.
How does Nintendo Music work it work?
Much like Tidal or Apple Music, the Nintendo Music app offers users the opportunity to browse by character, game, platform, and mood-based playlists to hear some of the most iconic game sounds.
Additionally, consumers can curate their own playlists, download songs for listening offline, and even put songs on a loop for up to an hour!
What songs are available on the Nintendo Music app?
Nintendo has been extremely strict when it comes to music licensing, cracking down on popular YouTube gaming channels in the past.
Unlike other gaming companies, Nintendo opted out of putting its game music on streaming platforms, instead focusing on its own app for fans to tap in to their favorite sounds. While the current selection is limited, the company revealed that more tracks will be added to the Nintendo Music app in due time.
Soundtracks from Nintendo Switch games like Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and a host of others will be featured on the app, as well as other tracks from systems like Game Boy Advance, Nintendo DS, Super NES, Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube and Wii are also available for consumption.
