Morris Brown president reinstated one week after being fired

The Kevin E. James era has resumed at Morris Brown College.

According to a report from Fox 5 Atlanta’s Sam Daniel, James has been reinstated as the school’s president after being fired last Monday Jan. 12.

Morris Brown “updated its official leadership directory to list James as president, though officials have not yet released a formal statement explaining the sudden reversal.”

James released a statement himself last Monday, saying his firing occurred with “without cause,” and listed Morris Brown’s numerous achievements during his seven years as president.

That included MBC regaining accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools nearly 20 years after an embezzlement scandal ruined the college’s reputation.
