Written By Lexx Thornton Getty Images, a preeminent global visual content creator and marketplace, has announced a firstofitskind genealogyfocused partnership with Ancestry, the global leader in family history, and Lincoln University, the nation’s first Historically Black College and University to grant degrees. As part of Getty Images’ HBCU Grants Program, this initiative will focus on the digital preservation and accessibility of historical documents, records, and the photographic archives of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Once digitized, these invaluable archives will become searchable on the Ancestry website, helping millions of people discover and connect with the rich legacy of HBCUs.
