In 2017, Ball joined the roster at UCLA as a three-star recruit. That same year, he was suspended for allegedly shoplifting during a team trip to China, according to The New York Times. Ball then withdrew from UCLA without playing a game and went on to play overseas in Lithuania. He played for the Swarm, the Hornets’ G-League team, as well as the Astros de Jalisco in Mexico, according to Billboard.
Ball’s brothers Lonzo and LaMelo are currently drafted in the NBA; they play for the Chicago Bulls and Charlotte Hornets. Lonzo shares his brother’s love for music as he previously released three albums, Born 2 Ball, BBA and Ball-Star Pack.
