Written By Lexx Thornton The Los Angeles Police Department stopped providing special protection for former Vice President Kamala Harrison Saturday, days after the Brentwood resident had her Secret Service protection rescinded by President Donald Trump. After Trump ordered the Secret Service detail to be pulled as of Sept. 1, the California Highway Patrol moved to fill the gap, assisted by specialized units from the LAPD’s Metropolitan Division.
