Kordell Beckham On Life Post-‘Love Island’, LA Move With Serena And New Cheez-It Role

When Kordell Beckham signed up to be on Love Island USA Season 6, he had no idea it would lead to him not only becoming one of the show’s biggest breakout stars, but also help him realize some of his wildest childhood dreams.

When he first told his then-love interest and now-girlfriend, Serena Page, his goals for inking a partnership with Cheez-It, fans raised their eyebrows and had jokes for days. Still, Beckham had the last laugh after not only landing his dream collaboration but also officially being named the brand’s official Chief Fantaseez Officer — helping fans make their wildest dreams come true.

“The partnership means a lot to me because Cheez-It has made my fantasies and dreams come true, right?” Beckham told Blavity. “I got my face on the box. I got to choose my flavors and all of that. Now, I want to return the favor, and as Chief Fantaseez Officer, I will make the fans’ fantasies come true, whether it’s wanting to get married on the yield or reporting from the sideline in a big tub of Cheez-It or, you know, whatever they may come up with. We’re excited, and we’re ready to make it happen. We want to return the favor. We want to turn the blessings into love, just like Cheez-It showed love and blessings to me. We want to do the same for fans.”

After his Kordeezy Cheezy Bundle sold out in less than five minutes, Beckham said he was stunned to find out that fans crashed the website in an attempt to get their hands on his first-ever collaboration with the company. Beckham manifested working alongside the brand while still in the Love Island villa this summer.

“It changed my life completely,” he said of his time on Love Island, where he and his girlfriend, Serena Page, ultimately walked away as the winners. “Not gonna lie, when I went in, I didn’t know it was gonna be like this. Obviously, I went in, and I know that coming out of the show, it was gonna be some type of publicity or something that, like, to where it’ll be the jumpstart of opportunities that I’ve always wanted to do and build and grow from there. I had it in mind where it would be coming out of the show, but it just shot up. I wasn’t expecting it, [but I’m] very excited.”

He said Cheez-It was the first brand that he was in talks with outside of the villa, which was a full-circle moment for him — not simply because he spoke it into existence while in the villa but also because when he was younger and playing football, he recalls telling family and friends that the snack company would be his first sponsor. His younger self also spoke of plans, which are still in motion, to have a Cheez-It dispensary in his house so that he can have the goodies at his liberty as much as he’d like.

Now that he’s out of the villa, making money moves and seeing his dreams come true, Beckham said that he hasn’t lost sight of the love he found in Page during their time in the villa and how it continues to evolve, especially now that she has made the official move to Los Angeles to be closer to her man.

“We manage our work and our love life,” he said. “We make time for each other because you have to do that regardless of work. You gotta make time, whether it’s late or early in the morning. I just like being around her, to be honest. You know, waking up with her, making her smile in the morning, maybe irritating her in the morning because she’s not a morning person. … Y’all seen it. So, I like to mess with her in the mornings.”

Beckham added, “Being able to really kind of enjoy ourselves without the cameras is good. I love it. We show some of the things that we do together and all of that, and then we have our moments in private that we don’t show. I’m just glad I went on the show and I met her.”

As he looks ahead to 2025, Beckham said television shows are on the horizon, especially after he and Page got to star in the music video for Summer Walker’s latest R&B hit, “Heart of a Woman.”

“2025 looks like TV shows, movies, we’re working on those. I’m working on my clothing line right now. On [Nov.] 30, I’m doing a full-circle moment with the people that I first walked with for a fashion show, so I’m walking with them again,” he said. “So this is going to be very interesting, and I’m excited for that. We’re modeling, getting into clothes. I ain’t gonna spoil it, but hey, it’s there, so be on the lookout. I’m gonna start vlogging and streaming, doing little video games and all of that. It’s a lot of things. I’ve been getting my house situated.”

When asked what the title of this chapter in his life is called, Beckham effortlessly said, “Prophecises Came True.”

In the meantime, fans can enter here for a chance to make their craziest dreams come true, thanks to Cheez-It and their new CFO, Kordell Beckham.
