King Harris, the son of rapper T.I. and songstress Tameka “Tiny” Harris, was arrested in Dlynwood, Georgia after a traffic incident escalated into a plethora of charges against the teenager. At age 19, he was reportedly pulling out of a gas station when he almost collided with a police vehicle, which initiated a traffic stop.
According to reports, as police officers approached Harris’ vehicle they stated they could smell marijuana. Officers also said that they saw Harris had a gun on his hip. Further investigation revealed Harris had a warrant for Failure to Appear in Pickens County.
Harris was arrested and taken to DeKalb County Jail. In addition, two men who were with Harris at the scene were charged with possession of marijuana, less than an ounce.
No other information has been made available yet on the nature of the warrant or for how long Harris will stay in custody. The incident adds to the growing list of legal challenges faced by the young Harris in recent years.
