Jonathan Majors’ Legal Woes Ease as Ex-Girlfriend Grace Jabari Drops Defamation Lawsuit

Grace Jabbari, an ex-girlfriend of actor Jonathan Majors, has officially dropped her federal lawsuit against the Marvel star, in which she accused him of assault and defamation. This is months after Majors was convicted of two misdemeanor assault charges in December 2023 over an altercation that occurred inside an SUV.

Jabbari had filed the suit in March 2024, claiming that Majors defamed her during an interview on Good Morning America, where he publicly denied her allegations despite his conviction. On Thursday, lawyers for both sides said the case had been dismissed “with prejudice,” meaning it cannot be reopened.

Beginning in 2023, Majors’ arrest fallout immediately had significant consequences for his career. Marvel Studios cut ties with the actor and excised his role as Kang the Conqueror in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. Instead, the studio refocused efforts on Avengers: Doomsday, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

Not to be defeated, Majors has made attempts at a comeback. He recently landed a part in the thriller Merciless and was seen this year in the highly publicized drama Magazine Dreams, set for a 2025 release. Through it, all-the court fight, the career implosions-Majors has proclaimed his innocence and vowed to keep acting.
