Italian Model’s Head Stolen From Coffin Months After Brutal Murder Sparks Horror Investigation

Pamela Genini

The body of Italian model and entrepreneur Pamela Genini has been desecrated, as cemetery workers discovered that her head had been removed from her coffin, months after she was murdered.

Genini, 29, who also appeared in Italian reality TV, was fatally stabbed over 20 times on her balcony in Milan in October last year. It is alleged that her ex-boyfriend, Gianluca Soncin, 52, committed the crime after allegedly stalking her following their breakup and attempting to reconcile.

The gruesome discovery was made on Monday when Genini’s remains were being transferred to their final resting place in a cemetery in the province of Bergamo. Cemetery workers at Strozza noticed that the coffin would not close properly.

On opening the coffin, the workers noticed that Pamela’s head had been severed and removed from her body, which remained undisturbed since her burial.

Police indicate that there are three to four suspects in the theft and desecration of Pamela’s corpse. The offense is considered corpse desecration and theft, which attracts a seven-year jail term.

However, authorities have not released further details regarding the case as investigations continue.
