An Indiana school secretary has landed herself in trouble with the law, facing several felony charges for reportedly having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.
Alicia Hughes, a school secretary with the Randolph Eastern School Corporation, has five charges of child seduction, according to the Union City Police Department.
This investigation began after Hughes’ husband found her with another 18-year-old student from the school, which led to a confrontation.
During this time, police say that Alicia was battered, which is being investigated separately by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department.
As the investigation continued, police say that they found evidence that Hughes had a sexual relationship with a different student who was 17 at the time.
This student was a high school student, and police say that Alicia had sex with this minor at least five times, which led to the five charges of child seduction.
Hughes has since been arrested and booked into the Randolph County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
