Huda Mustafa Allegedly Threatened Mother Of Louis Russell’s Child, Restraining Order Approved

A judge has reportedly approved a temporary restraining order against Love Island USA star Huda Mustafa after she allegedly made threats and tried to enter the residence of her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend. Mustafa rose to fame on the U.S. edition of the reality TV franchise last summer. Here’s what we know.

Why did Huda Mustafa receive a restraining order?

Mustafa has been dating fellow reality star Louis Russell for the past few months. Nicole Olivera filed a restraining order on Thursday against Mustafa, according to court documents obtained by TMZ. She accuses Mustafa of trying to access her residence in Los Angeles and making threats toward herself and her son in an incident that occurred in February.

According to the documents, Mustafa threatened to harm herself, her own daughter, as well as Oliveira’s child prior to attempting to enter the residence and saying she would “knock their doors down.” Olivera said the threats were “terrifying” and “extremely mentally unstable.”

Law enforcement was called on February 21. The caller reported an individual saying they would knock on all the doors, threatened to come back and mentioned suicide. TMZ reported that police confirmed the call and identified the individual as Mustafa.

As part of the restraining order filing, Oliveira also said she was being harassed on social media and that she feared for her own safety and her child’s wellbeing.

A judge approved a temporary restraining order against Mustafa, which requires her to stay at least 100 yards away from Olivera, her son and their home, Complex reported.

Oliveira shares a child with her former partner Louis Russell. Mustafa has been dating Russell for the past months and they have made several public appearances together.

Everything to know about Huda Mustafa

Mustafa rose to fame last summer after appearing on Season 7 of Love Island USA. She was one of the breakout cast members that season, having gained a following of 4.6 million on Instagram. Since the show aired, Mustafa has had brand collaborations with Huda Beauty, Oh Polly and appeared in promotional material for the Call of Duty video game, Black Ops 7.

Yet, she has been noticeably more discreet on social media than some of her fellow cast members Olandria Carthen, Amaya Espinal, Chelley Bissainthe or Iris Kendall.

Mustafa was also involved in another controversy regarding Carthen. During an Instagram Live hosted with Russell, a caller used a racial slur against Carthen. The couple appeared to laugh before ending the call. Mustafa then said that she “didn’t hear what was said” and later apologized by saying her reaction was “nervous” and “inappropriate,” according to Complex.

Huda Beauty retracted its brand deal with Mustafa following the incident. “At Huda Beauty, kindness and humanity are at the heart of everything we do. Unfortunately, one of our recent collaborators has displayed behavior that does not align with our values,” the makeup brand wrote in a statement posted in October 2025.

“While we valued the partnership we had with Huda, her recent behavior, and the way the situation has been handled does not reflect our brand’s principles. As a result, we have decided to end our partnership and remove any related content from our social platforms and in-store displays,” it added.
