Brianna Garmas is going viral online after a string of arrests over the past couple of years, and her mugshots are all over the internet, which thrives on such content.
It’s nothing new. Many online pages and accounts post arrest photos of people, a practice known as mugshot culture on Instagram, and they tend to gain many followers and attract many comments. Often, people whose mugshots are posted trend regardless of the gravity of the crime they are accused of.
However, the recent arrest of Brianna Garmas stands out because of the string of arrests made against the woman.
According to public arrest records, Brianna Garmas’s first arrest was in July 2024, when she was 23 years old. She was booked for one count of battery touch or strike (no bond) and one count of criminal mischief property damage between 200 and 1,000 dollars, for which the bond was set at 1,000 dollars.
Four months after the first arrest, she was again taken into custody for another count of battery, touch or strike. However, there are no arrest records of Garmas for the rest of 2025.
However, this changed in early 2026. On Jan. 13, she was arrested for burglary with assault. Less than a month after this arrest, she was again taken into custody for violating a pre-trial agreement. As of this writing, it remains unclear whether she has been released from custody or remains in jail.
Garmas has also gained local fame as a waitress at a Hooters restaurant.
The comments on the viral arrest posts have been substantial, with many people posting jokes and offers of assistance. Examples of comments include: “Send her my way, I can fix her,” and “I’ll get her on the right path,” while another commenter said: “I actually reached out to her and offered my assistance. LOL.”
The viral arrest posts have sparked several comments regarding the consumption of arrest records and mugshots, particularly when a criminal case becomes a form of viral entertainment rather than a case being addressed by the justice system.
Garma’s case remains ongoing.
