Here’s how much Marshall Faulk will be paid as Southern’s football coach

Marshall Faulk will have a least a million-dollar investment into the Southern football program as head coach.

According to a report from Baton Rouge TV station WBRZ, Faulk is scheduled to make 1.2 million dollars over the next three years, or $400,000 per year.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer will also have a $950,000 pool for assistant coaches to draw from.

Faulk was officially hired as the Jaguars’ new coach Dec. 1, replacing Terrence Graves, who was fired after a 1-6 start. Former Alcorn State head coach Fred McNair served as interim head coach, leading Southern to a 28-27 win over Grambling in the Bayou Classic.

Graves has been offered a position within the athletic program as a part of a mutual settlement with Southern, according to the report.
