The upcoming series reunites two storied programs with a brief but memorable history. Tennessee State holds an unbeaten record against Morgan State, including a 14-0 win at the 1972 Atlanta Ebony Classic and a 21-0 shutout in 1985 at Vanderbilt Stadium.
The Tigers later claimed back-to-back victories — 52-10 in Baltimore (1986) and 37-17 in Nashville (1987).
The 2026 meeting will be the first between the programs in nearly 40 years, adding a nostalgic chapter to HBCU football while spotlighting two institutions steeped in tradition and pride.
