Three SIAC powerhouses have earned places among the NCAA Division II Super Region Two Top 10, marking another strong postseason push for the conference’s elite programs.
Albany State, Benedict College, and Kentucky State each landed in the regional poll released this week, signaling their continued national relevance as playoff selections approach.
Albany State leads the trio with a standout 9-1 record and an unbeaten 8-0 mark in conference play and is ranked No. 2 in Super Region Two. The Golden Rams enter the SIAC championship game on a seven-game winning streak, with only a narrow loss to Division I Florida A&M marring a near-perfect run.
Benedict College, ranked No. 4, matches that 9-1 overall record, going 7-1 against SIAC opponents in a year marked by stifling defense and timely offense. The Tigers have built on the success of previous seasons, routinely outscoring opponents by double digits and positioning themselves as a postseason favorite.
Kentucky State rounds out the conference representation at No. 7, with an 8-2 overall mark and an impressive 7-1 record in league play. The Thorobreds have surged late in the season, powered by a strong rushing attack and a defense that delivered decisive wins, including a remarkable seven-game win streak heading into November
With the SIAC championship game and NCAA playoff selections approaching, the rankings underscore the league’s growing strength and competitive depth across the region.
The final regional standings and postseason bids are expected to be confirmed in the coming week.
