In the midst of another strong start to the season, Norfolk State women’s basketball feels like a virtual lock to make it to the NCAA Tournament again.
But the immediate question of where the Spartans (14-4) will be seeded obviously remains undetermined.
In ESPN’s latest bracketology update for women’s basketball, analyst Charlie Creme projects Norfolk State as the No. 14 seed in the Birmingham region.
The Spartans would play No. 3 seed Maryland of the Big 10 and the winner of the No. 6 and 11 seed in Creme’s projection if they were to move on.

Another bracketology website, herhoopstats.com, also projects TCU similarly as a No. 14 seed in the Birmingham region.
The Spartans’ resume is strong, with wins over SEC Auburn and Missouri in non-conference play.
According to the latest NCAA NET rankings, NSU is ranked No. 104 and has an impressive 2-0 record in Quad 2 games.
The Spartans will play Morgan State at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
