North Carolina A&T head men’s basketball coach Montè Ross has drawn a public reprimand after being involved in a confrontation with game officials.
CAA Commissioner Joe D’Antonio announced on Saturday that Ross violated the conference’s sportsmanship policy during the Aggies 85-74 loss to Northeastern on Dec. 31. With 25 seconds left in the game, Ross picked up a technical foul, then confronted officials as they left the court and again in the locker room area.

“I’ve spoken with Coach Ross and let him know that his actions toward the game officials were unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” D’Antonio said in a statement. “Any further incidents during the remainder of the season will result in a more severe penalty.”
Ross has not commented on the incident or provided a reaction to CAA action.
The Aggies are currently 7-7 overall and 0-3 in league play.
