The wait is over, folks, for fans of the Max Original series Harley Quinn, the wildly entertaining and irreverent show. The new trailer for Season 5 just dropped, teasing a new chapter filled to the brim with chaos, humor, and more than a few genuinely surprising twists as Harley Quinn (voiced by Kaley Cuoco) and Poison Ivy (Lake Bell) get into the thick of Metropolis.
The duo bidding adieu to Gotham and embarking on a new adventure, this time in Superman’s own playground, find things not entirely as they seem. Lex Luthor, aided and abetted by his clever sister Lena Luthor—voiced by Aisha Tyler—and the notorious Brainiac—played by Stephen Fry—are ever the menaces. But with the help of Harley’s way-out team of accomplices, including King Shark (Ron Funches), Clayface (Alan Tudyk), and Frank the Plant (JB Smoove), they will shake things up in this unapologetically fun ride through the DC Universe. Season 5 likely will come with the same razor-sharp wit and zany antics that have become synonymous with the fanbase’s adoration, only with a new setting and fresh challenges.
The trailer teases the mix of action-packed moments and hilarious character dynamics as Harley and Ivy try to navigate their relationship and tangle with the Metropolis power players, including Lois Lane (Natalie Morales), not to mention Superman’s rogues gallery.
James Adomian as Bane, Diedrich Bader as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Alan Tudyk doing double duty as Clayface and the Joker will also be voicing.
Harley Quinn is produced by Delicious Non-Sequitur Productions, Lorey Stories, and Yes, Norman Productions in association with Warner Bros. Animation. The series was developed by Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker, and Dean Lorey and is executive-produced by Lorey, who also serves as showrunner.
The new season starts on Thursday, January 16, with episodes rolling out weekly through March 20 on Max. So please mark your calendars to return to the madcap world of Harley Quinn and her misfit gang!
Watch the trailer now and prepare for a season full of promised mayhem, hilarity, and plenty of DC sandbox fun.
