‘Greenleaf’ Alum Merle Dandridge To Star In ‘The Rainmaker’ Season 2 At USA Network

Merle Dandridge, who starred in Greenleaf on OWN, has been tapped for a role in Season 2 of The Rainmaker on USA Network.

Per the exclusive report from Deadline, Dandridge will play Amanda Vonn, “a powerhouse attorney who provides a fresh gateway to power for Sarah (Madison Iseman) and a new kind of adversary for Rudy (Milo Callaghan).” Season 1 of the series starred Lana Parrilla, P.J. Byrne. John Slattery, Lana Fogler, Wade Briggs and Robyn Cara.

Based on the John Grisham novel, the series sees “Rudy Baylor, who is fresh out of law school, goes head-to-head with courtroom lion Leo Drummond as well as his law school girlfriend, Sarah. Rudy, along with his boss, Bruiser, and her disheveled paralegal, Deck, uncover two connected conspiracies surrounding the mysterious death of their client’s son.”

The series is from Lionsgate Television and Blumhouse Television.

Merle Dandridge’s recent roles

Dandridge’s recent roles have included a major part in Season 1 of HBO’s The Last of Us, as well as series regular roles in Station 19 on ABC, Truth Be Told on Apple TV+ and The Flight Attendant on HBO Max. Soon, she’ll be seen in Season 2 of Prime Video’s Citadel.
