Grammy Nominations 2025: Beyoncé Shatters Record With 11 Noms; Here’s Who Else Got Nods

The 2025 Grammy nominations were announced on Friday, with women dominating several top categories. Beyoncé leads this year’s nominations with 11 and becomes the most-nominated artist in Grammy history.

Queen Bey has long competed for Album of the Year but consistently come up short — a topic she addressed in her song “Sweet Honey Buckin’” from her eighth album, Cowboy Carter, released in March. As Blavity reported, JAY-Z called out the Grammys for repeatedly snubbing his wife in the highly anticipated category while accepting the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony in February. The previous year, Bey became the most awarded-artist in history with 32 wins.

“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won Album of the Year. So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work. Think about that. The most Grammys, never won Album of the Year. That doesn’t work,” Jay-Z said in his speech.

Rolling Stone reported that the singer had 88 nominations, tying with her husband for the most Grammy nominations in history. However, Beyoncé’s 11 additional nods for the 2025 Grammy Awards pushed her total to 99.

Beyoncé is nominated in the ceremony’s three major categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year, with “Texas Hold ‘Em” featured in two of them. Additionally, Best Country Album and Best Americana Performance mark two category firsts for the 43-year-old musician.

In other Grammy firsts, rapper Doechii earned her first nomination in the Best New Artist category alongside country’s rising star Shaboozey, Sabrina Carpenter and more. She is also featured in the Best Rap Performance category for her song “Nissan Altima” and Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal.

Kendrick Lamar earned seven nominations, with his summer hit “Not Like Us” featured in multiple categories. Other rappers nominated include Cardi B, Latto and GloRilla. Artists such as Kehlani, Coco Jones, Muni Long and more also got nods.
