Grambling quarterback C’zavian Teasett suffered an injury during this past October’s Las Vegas Classic against Jackson State. Neither Teasett’s family nor the university would specify the nature of his injury, but now Teasett is explaining what happened.
“I suffered a spinal cord injury during the Las Vegas HBCU Classic versus Jackson State University,” Teasett wrote in a GoFundMe post. “I have been actively participating in inpatient rehab away from home (Louisiana) in an effort to receive the best possible outcome. This incident has been life-changing. However, I am making progress daily.
Teasett, a redshirt sophomore, started the season as the Tigers’ quarterback after transferring from Southern, completing 95 of 170 passes for 1065 yards and seven touchdowns.
“Due to the overwhelming outpouring of love and inquiries on how to assist me throughout my journey, I have established this account,” Teasett said. “Your contributions will apply towards home modifications, accessible transportation, and future medical necessities.”
