Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather was reportedly confronted by an aggressive crowd while shopping in London’s Hatton Garden on Sunday. The incident, which was partially captured on video, involved a mob of around 30 people surrounding the retired champion and his entourage as they attempted to leave the area.
Eyewitness footage shows the 47-year-old visibly distressed, exchanging heated words with the crowd before being escorted into a black SUV. The vehicle sped away, leaving behind some members of Mayweather’s security team who appeared to struggle to contain the situation.

A source close to Mayweather told The Sun that the boxer was “not touched” during the altercation, although witnesses at the scene claimed he “took a few hits” in the commotion.
The confrontation allegedly escalated following comments Mayweather reportedly made when asked about his stance on the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict. According to sources, Mayweather expressed his support for Israel, stating he was “proud to support the Jews,” which may have provoked some members of the crowd.
Mayweather, known for his outspoken nature and high-profile lifestyle, has often traveled with a sizable security detail during his public appearances. However, the incident highlights the challenges celebrities can face when navigating complex political and social topics in volatile public spaces.
Local authorities have not yet issued an official statement regarding the altercation, and no arrests have been reported. Representatives for Mayweather have also declined to comment further on the matter.
