The romantic weekend in Italy revolves around You, Me & Tuscany, a brand-new movie that hits theaters this April 10th, 2026. The romantic comedy has a mix of mistakes, food fantasies, and picturesque Tuscany landscapes.
You, Me & Tuscany is produced by Will Packer and centers on Anna, played by Halle Bailey, a young woman who feels somewhat lost after giving up her dream of becoming a chef. After losing her house-sitting gig and a place to stay, she meets Matteo, an Italian man with a house in Tuscany, and goes there despite her blunt best friend Claire, played by Aziza Scott, advising her not to do so. Although she intends to stay there for only one night, everything goes awry after Matteo’s mom arrives unexpectedly. Panicking, she pretends to be Matteo’s fiancée. Matters are further complicated by Matteo’s cousin Michael, played by Regé-Jean Page, who connects with Anna, complicates her lie, and prompts her to question what she really wants in life and love.
The international cast of You, Me & Tuscany includes Lorenzo de Moor as Matteo, Italian screen legend Isabella Ferrari as Matteo’s mom, Gabriella, Marco Calvani as a taxi driver who befriends Anna, and Oscar nominee Nia Vardalos as Mrs. Dunn, a house-sitting client whose plans ruin Anna’s flight plan.
Directed by Kat Coiro, You, Me & Tuscany is a romantic comedy script by Ryan Engle, based on an original idea by Engle and Kristin Engle. Produced by Will Packer and Johanna Byer for Will Packer Productions, You, Me & Tuscany is a romantic comedy about seeking clarity in the wrong place.
Although marketed as a romantic comedy, You, Me & Tuscany uses traditional romantic comedy elements in a wrong-place-wrong-time setting in Italy.
