Country music star Garth Brooks has been slapped with a lawsuit after a former employee accused him of brutally raping her while she was on an assignment at work. The accuser, who will remain anonymous, claimed she was hired as a hairstylist and makeup artist for Brooks and his wife, Trisha Yearwood. The accusations detail some very disturbing allegations, which began in 2019.
According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, the woman alleges that Brooks assaulted her during a trip to Los Angeles for a Grammy tribute back in May 2019. She says she had worked with Yearwood for years before Brooks hired her personally, and what began as a professional engagement quickly turned into a nightmare. The lawsuit states that Brooks booked private travel for just the two of them alone, and upon arrival, she found there was only one hotel room reserved. She asked Brooks for a separate room, which he refused.
That night, Brooks entered fully naked into her room and dragged her onto the bed, where he brutally raped her, according to the plaintiff. She described being held upside down by her ankles, violently penetrated in horrific detail, saying that she thought she would “break in half” from the attack’s force. Despite saying she had been raped, the woman explained, she finished the job because she was poor and needed the work. Added to this, she believes Brooks preyed on that vulnerability.
The complaint continues with other acts of sexual harassment before the alleged rape. She says Brooks got out of the shower, naked, at his home in 2019, directed his erect penis at her, and put her hands on it. Brooks also fantasized about her giving oral sex with glasses on, she says. She further details that Brooks would grope her breasts during makeup sessions, while she protested, and after that, he would masturbate.
Now, the woman is suing Garth Brooks for damages to compensate for the physical and emotional trauma she said she endured. As of this time, Brooks and his representatives have not made any public comments regarding the allegations.
