Coppin State women’s basketball has lined up one of its toughest non-conference schedules in recent memory, with matchups against Ohio State, Tennessee, SMU, and defending national champion South Carolina, the school announced Thursday.
The Eagles will open the stretch on November 9 at Ohio State, a program that won 26 games last season and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Two weeks later, Coppin travels to Knoxville to face eight-time national champion Tennessee on November 23. A December 10 trip to Dallas will pit the Eagles against SMU under new head coach Adia Barnes, before the spotlight shifts to Baltimore on January 18, when South Carolina, fresh off its 2024 national title, comes to town for a noon matchup.
The run of games gives Coppin State four showdowns with Power Conference programs before the heart of the MEAC season.
