Blake Lively Files Sexual Harassment Legal Complaint Against Justin Baldoni, Her ‘It Ends With Us’ Co-Star And Director

It Ends with Us star Blake Lively has filed a legal sexual harassment complaint against her co-star and the director of the film, Justin Baldoni. According to People, Lively said in her complaint that she has “suffered from grief, fear, trauma and extreme anxiety” behind closed doors as a result of the harassment.

The complaint, which is a legal precursor to a lawsuit, adds that Baldoni and the other filmmakers agreed to implement several guidelines on the set of It Ends with Us.

One of the requirements stated that there will be “no more showing nude videos or images of women … to [Lively] and/or her employees.” The other guidelines also banned any “mention of [Baldoni’s] previous ‘pornography addiction,” or “discussions to [Lively]…about personal experiences with sex,” and “inquiries by [Baldoni] to [Lively’s] trainer without her knowledge or consent to disclose her weight.” Additionally, “no more mention by [Baldoni] of him ‘speaking to’ [Lively’s] dead father,” the guidelines on the set outlined, per the complaint.

“No more adding of sex scenes, oral sex or on camera climaxing by BL outside the scope of the script BL approved when signing onto the project,” the requests added.

What Lively said about her legal complaint

Lively made additional complaints against Baldoni, saying he started a “social manipulation” effort to “destroy” her reputation after she filed the complaint.

“I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted,” Lively said in a statement to The New York Times.

What Baldoni’s lawyer says

Bryan Freedman, Baldoni’s lawyer, responded to the allegations in a statement to People, saying Lively is trying to “fix her negative reputation.” Freedman said the allegations are “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt.”

The lawyer added that Lively caused problems on the set of It Ends With Us as she was “threatening to not showing up to set, threatening to not promote the film, ultimately leading to its demise during release.”

It is important to note that despite the idea of the film’s “demise” presented in the statement, the film has grossed over $350 million worldwide at the global box office.
