A tragic shooting at South Carolina State University that left two dead and one wounded prompted the cancellation of Saturday’s basketball games involving the school.
The scheduled men’s basketball game between South Carolina State and Morgan State has been moved to a later date amid a Thursday night fatal shooting.
The incident, which occurred at a student housing complex, led to an eight-hour lockdown and the suspension of Friday classes.
The reported victims included two non-students and one enrolled student, according to SCSU officials.
Rescheduled games include Morgan State women vs. SCSU women Monday at 2 p.m. and the men’s rematch Wednesday, February 25, at 6 p.m.
