Apple TV+ gave fans a first look at their new drama series, “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” on Tuesday. They released a teaser for the show during the 2026 Press Day and showcased the impressive crew behind it, including TV producer David E. Kelley.
The Apple Original series stars Elle Fanning, who is also an executive producer on the show, along with Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman, and Nick Offerman. The show is produced by A24 and is based on the best-selling novel by Ruffi Thorpe.
The show has a global premiere scheduled for April 15, 2026, with three episodes released that day, followed by new episodes every Wednesday through May 20.
The show revolves around Margo (Fanning), who has just dropped out of college and aspires to be a writer. The show follows her as she navigates early adulthood, a newborn baby, rising bills, and limited choices. Margo comes from a complicated family life. Her mother was a Hooters waitress (played by Michelle Pfeiffer), and her father was a professional wrestler (played by Nick Offerman). The show blends comedy and drama as it explores economic uncertainty and resilience through the life of Margo and her complicated family.

Other cast members on the show include Thaddea Graham, Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsey Normington.

The showrunner, writer, and executive producer is Kelley, through his production company, David E. Kelley Productions. The other executive producers on the show include Elle and Dakota Fanning through Lewellen Pictures, Nicole Kidman and Per Saari through Blossom Films, Matthew Tinker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Rufi Thorpe, Eva Anderson, and Boo Killebrew.
The pilot episode’s director and executive producer is Dearbhla Walsh, who has won several awards, including the BAFTA Award and the Emmy Award. Kate Herron and Alice Seabright will also direct the show.
This is not Kelley’s first show on Apple TV+, as he has already produced the Emmy-nominated drama Presumed Innocent, which is now in production for its second season. Apple TV+ has not released any additional teasers for the show beyond the one released on Tuesday.
