The SWAC East champions are set to lose another impact offensive player.
Ja’Naylon Dupree, who was the second-leading wide receiver by yardage in 2025 for Jackson State, announced on Tuesday in a social media post he is entering the transfer portal.
Dupree, in his second season ar Jackson State after transferring in from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, caught 31 passes for 509 yards and six touchdowns. The productivity was just behind MIssissippi Valley State transfer Nate Rembert, who hauled in 45 receptions for 750 yards and seven touchdowns.
Dupree, the grandson of former Oklahoma and Los Angeles Rams player Marcus Dupree, has one year of collegiate eligibility remaining.
The annoucement comes just a day after running back Ahmad Miller, who posted a 1,000-yard season at JSU in 2025, also publicized his intention to leave the program.
