After Deadly Strikes, AOC Says President Trump Started Iran Conflict “For No Reason”

AOC and Donald Trump

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacked the moves of President Donald Trump regarding Iran on Wednesday, labeling the entire affair a “war of choice” and claiming that the administration’s reasons keep changing as the violence continues to escalate.

Ocasio-Cortez gave an impromptu interview in a hallway on March 18, claiming that she believes the president started the conflict without a strong, steady reason, even as news emerges of American soldiers dying and Iranians being injured.

“Well, I mean, Marco Rubio said it, you know, said some of this stuff himself,” Ocasio-Cortez told Pablo Reports. “I have a doubt that this is the wrong choice, that Donald Trump has initiated all of these hostilities, killing American service members and innocent Republicans alike. And for no reason, he has a different reason every day.”

The White House has not responded to Ocasio-Cortez’s latest comments, although they have defended their actions in the past as necessary to protect the country from Iran.
