Which ‘Age Of Attraction’ Couples Are Still Together And Which Broke Up?

Age of Attraction, Netflix’s latest reality dating show, unites singles from various age groups in their search for love. The inaugural season premiered on March 11 and is hosted by Nick and Natalie Viall, both 45 and 27, respectively — a married couple bringing their 18-year age-gap relationship and experience into the mix.

While age is just a number in most instances, it played a role for some contestants at the commitment ceremony during the season finale, which aired on Wednesday. Six of the couples with significant age gaps left the show to move in together and see where their love goes.

One couple, Jorge Sanchez, 60, and Vanelle Fenmou, 27, parted ways before the final episode due to issues surrounding Vanelle’s celibacy and Jorge’s handling of a confrontation with a stranger in public. The remaining five couples either broke up, got engaged or stayed together, according to E! News and People.

Here’s everything viewers need to know about the couples and their relationship statuses after spending time apart following their cohabitation.

Leah Woolfolk and Chris Dahlan

Leah, 40, is a Los Angeles-based flight attendant, and Chris, 26, is a Miami-based public speaker and business owner. Despite a 15-year age gap, they moved in together. After some time, issues began to surface, with Chris feeling overwhelmed and Leah still believing they had “something special.”

During the commitment ceremony, Chris shared his feelings and ultimately walked away.

“For the first time in my life, I felt like it was hard to be myself. And that’s why ultimately I feel like this partnership is not right,” he said, per People. “I am deciding to end this relationship here.”

Age also played a factor in Chris’s decision, with him stating that “We’ve talked about our age difference many times, and maybe the age gap was harder than we thought,” E! News reported.

Libby Vodicka and Andrew Wheeler

Libby, 22, and Andrew, 38, had a 16-year age gap when they started filming the show. Andrew is a Baltimore-based bar owner and father of two daughters, while Libby is a social media manager from San Diego.

At the commitment ceremony, Andrew expressed his feelings and asked Libby to be his girlfriend.

“I feel like it’s finally my turn, like this might actually be my rom com happy ending,” Andrew told Libby, per E! News. “I know, I’m so cheesy. I’ve been thinking a lot about what happens after this. And I don’t know what your generation calls it these days — hard launch, soft launch, probably something way cooler than what I’m about to say — but I would really love to leave here with you as my girlfriend.”

While Andrew initially thought he might hold Libby back, she reassured him.

“I really feel like you’d only be an addition to my life.”

She was also open to meeting his children, saying, “I want to commit to you. I want a relationship outside of here. I know how important your daughters are to you. If you’re willing to open that life to me, I would be happy to be a part of it,” People reported.

Vanessa Drozda and Logan Goodrid

Vanessa, 49, is a salon owner from Canton, Ohio, and Logan, 29, is a Dallas-based corporate purchasing professional. The two share a 20-year age gap.

After moving in together, the couple experienced ups and downs, leading Logan to question whether he was the right partner for Vanessa. During the commitment ceremony, he initially asked for the promise ring back — but then surprised everyone by proposing. Vanessa accepted.

“It’s been a crazy roller coaster of a ride, but I’m not getting off anytime soon. I love the s–t out of you,” he said, according to E! News. “You’re someone who deserves everything, and someone who deserves the Kobe ring.”

That was a reference to the late Kobe Bryant’s five NBA championship rings and Vanessa’s fifth engagement.

“Age doesn’t matter for us,” he said after the proposal, per People. “Vanessa changed me. She’s the one who’s made me feel ways that I haven’t felt before.”

Theresa Demaria and John Merrill

Theresa, 54, is a yoga teacher, stylist and model from Evanston, Illinois, and John, 27, is a Miami native who works in software sales. The couple has a 27-year age gap, with John being half Theresa’s age, according to People.

While the two instantly clicked, backlash about their age difference began to affect Theresa. With three children around John’s age, she initially planned to end the relationship at the commitment ceremony.

However, that changed after she shared a letter her children had written to John in support of their relationship.

“It makes me feel a lot more confident and happy to know they wrote that to you. I had no idea what it said,” she said, per People. “I don’t want to walk away. In fact, I want to walk toward something with you.”

Derrick Fleming and Pfeifer Hill

Pfeifer, 23, is a graphic designer from Seattle, and Derrick, 43, is a Dallas-based medical salesman and father of two. The couple decided to live together, but tension arose after Pfeifer shared news of the relationship with her family, People reported.

She described herself as independent and initially struggled with the dynamic. However, at the commitment ceremony, she surprised everyone by choosing to continue the relationship and move to Dallas.

“If I were to leave here without you, I may regret it for the rest of my life. Today, I’m putting the unknowns aside, and I’m trusting my heart,” Pfeifer told Derrick, per People. “I am 100% committed to moving to Dallas and starting our journey together.”

He responded, “My place is our place,” and handed her a key.

“I’m the luckiest girl in the whole world to have found you here. Many people spend their whole lives looking for what we found here,” she added, according to E! News. “If I were to leave here without you, I may regret it for the rest of my life.”
