Delaware State men’s basketball’s leading scorer enters transfer portal

The Delaware State men’s basketball team is losing their leading scorer to the transfer portal.

Sophomore guard Ponce James, an All-MEAC second team selection this past season, is entering the portal, according to a report by Sam Kayser of League Ready.

James, a 5-foot-11 guard from Bridgeport, Connecticut, averaged 13.7 points per game for Delaware State this season, including four games of 20 points or more.

James was also the only Hornet to average double figure scoring for the season. He was a pre-season First-Team All-MEAC selection heading into the season.
