Demi Lovato is causing quite a stir among Disney Channel fans after revealing that Shia LaBeouf would not be featured on her personal ‘Disney Mount Rushmore.’
During the Wednesday, March 18th episode of the ‘Chicks in the Office’ podcast, the 33-year-old singer and Disney Channel star reminisced about what she thinks makes up the Disney Channel legacy.
Lovato, who got her start in the Disney Channel movie ‘Camp Rock,’ first mentioned Disney Channel stars Raven-Symoné and Hilary Duff on her initial list.
However, she also mentioned other Disney Channel stars who got their start before her, including pop icons Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, who both debuted on Disney’s ‘The Mickey Mouse Club.’
Lovato went on to explain that while Spears and Aguilera were both part of the Disney legacy, they did not transform Disney Channel into what it is today. However, the conversation took another turn when Lovato was asked about other Disney Channel stars who made her initial list, including Raven-Symoné, who also featured Shia LaBeouf on her Disney Mount Rushmore. Shia LaBeouf got his start on Disney Channel’s ‘Even Stevens.’
“Um, I’m okay on that one. I’ll pass,” Lovato said about including Shia LaBeouf on her Disney Mount Rushmore.
Lovato did not explain why she would pass on including Shia LaBeouf on her list.
However, Lovato went on to explain who would be featured on her updated list for her Disney Channel Mount Rushmore. Lovato mentioned the Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and herself.
