Ari Lennox has been taking a moment to reflect on her past experiences and admits she wishes she had focused on appreciating the value of stable partners in her life rather than pursuing “toxic energy.”
When discussing her past romantic experiences, Ari Lennox revealed that she tended to seek excitement in her relationships rather than stability in her partners.
Ari Lennox stated, “I think I have a thing for toxic energy, so there’s still some healing I need to do. When I look back at all these energies, it’s a shame I gave them so much of my time while there were sweet energies I didn’t.”
Ari Lennox’s views on her past experiences and partners have changed as she’s gotten older and witnessed many of those she considered “sweet energies” moving forward in life, getting married, and having children.
“Now I see those sweet energies getting married and starting families,” she revealed. “I’m thinking that could’ve been me if I had recognized the security in those people at the time.”
Ari Lennox revealed that her attraction to toxic partners is possibly due to the excitement that is present in those relationships.
“They feel really excited at first,” she revealed. “The chemistry is incredible. They don’t always look perfect… It’s just an energy.”
She also confessed that some of the people she previously described as “sweet” now seemed less exciting in hindsight.
“I mean, I could picture myself falling asleep on the phone. So I’m not sure if boring is good or not. I’m trying to understand what that means.”
She now wonders whether what she previously described as boring could actually mean emotional stability.
The comments elicited a flurry of reactions on social media, sparking conversations about accountability and relationships.
One social media user stated, “She has no idea what she just did now, we all have to suffer for the next two months because of this.”
Another user praised Lennox for taking responsibility for her actions in relationships, writing, “Wow. A woman taking accountability for her awful choices in men instead of painting us all with the same ‘trash’ brush. This is beautiful. We’re getting somewhere.”
A third user provided a lesson for youth, writing, “I hope younger generations recognize early on that ‘boring’ is PEACE. It’s consistent, transparent, and safe. That applies to more than just relationships.”
