Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home Shot At While She Was Inside, Woman Taken Into Custody

The Beverly Hills home of Rihanna was struck by gunfire on Sunday while the singer was still inside, according to police and sources familiar with the matter.

When did the shooting occur?

Los Angeles police responded to calls of a shooting at around 1:21 p.m. on Sunday at the Beverly Glen mansion, according to an LAPD source. A woman in her 30s was taken into custody, per the BBC.

Police said the woman was parked in her car across the street and fired several shots into the exterior of the singer’s home, as well as a vehicle parked out front. No injuries were reported in the incident, per the Los Angeles Times and ABC 7.

Sources said that assault rifle casings were found at the scene. The weapon allegedly used by the woman was an AR-style gun.

Details on the shooting and where the suspect was captured

The LAPD’s dispatch audio confirmed that at least 10 shots had been fired at the home from a vehicle parked across the street from the property gate, per the Los Angeles Times.

The vehicle, a white Tesla, then sped off and was followed by law enforcement and an LAPD helicopter tracking the woman’s whereabouts.

Officers then followed the woman into the parking garage of a shopping center, where she was pulled over and arrested.

A motive remains unknown, and the investigation remains ongoing.
