Zara Larsson Fires Back After White House Mocks Her Anti ICE Posts

The Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson is firing back at the White House after it appeared to mock her comments on U.S. immigration policies on social media.

According to Buzzing Pop, the Swedish singer seemed to be taking the jab from the White House with a grain of salt, saying:

“I just think they’re losers, sorry. I guess it’s powerful to know that my words have enough weight to make people want to respond, but that’s not why I share my opinions. It’s because I love people; I love human connection. It’s not about the theater of it all.”

The comments were made by Larsson following the Swedish singer’s post on Instagram criticizing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, amid reports of a Minnesota police officer shooting a woman.

The singer wrote on her Instagram story:

“I love immigrants, I love criminals, I love trans people, I love abortions, I love queers, I love slutty women, I love contraception, I love welfare, I love socialism, I f—ing hate ICE.”

The White House’s official TikTok account appeared to respond to Larsson’s comments with a video featuring President Trump using Larsson’s hit song “Lush Life,” with text listing phrases that seemed to push back against Larsson’s comments.

The video included phrases such as:

“We love America First … We love deportations … We love cheap gas prices … We love a secure border … We love world peace … We love law and order … We love work not welfare … WE LOVE ICE and our law enforcement!”

It is still unclear whether Larsson or the White House will be saying anything further on the matter.
