Funeral arrangements for civil rights activist Jesse Jackson announced

Funeral arrangements have been made for civil rights activist Reverend Jesse Jackson, according to the Rainbow PUSH Coalition. Jackson, who was a protégé of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 17. The Greenville Eight member had been hospitalized in recent months and was under observation for progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). According to the organization, Jackson will lie in state next Wednesday and Thursday (Feb. 25 – 26) at Rainbow PUSH at 930 E 50th Street in Chicago. Doors are expected to open at 10 a.m. both days.
