Before the premiere of the series’s first episode, Peter Friedlander, head of global TV at Amazon MGM Studios, introduced the series’s creators, showrunners, and writers, Karyn Usher and Lisa Zwerling, alongside Atomic Monster’s executive producer, Rob Hackett.

The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, with Atomic Monster’s James Wan on board. Following the premiere of the series’s first episode, the attendees gathered for the after-party at the Annenberg Terrace.

The series “56 Days,” which is set to premiere globally on Prime Video on February 18th, features Cameron, Jogia, Souza, and Missick in a psychological thriller based on best-selling author Catherine Ryan Howard’s novel of the same name, with Howard serving as co-executive producer.

The series was created by Zwerling and Usher and executive produced by them, along with James Wan, Michael Clear, Hackett, Danielle Bozzone, and Sandrine Gros d’Aillon.

The story follows Oliver and Ciara, who meet by chance in a supermarket and quickly fall into a romance. However, 56 days later, homicide detectives arrive at Oliver’s apartment to find a body that has been brutally murdered and decomposed. The story is told through two timelines: one set in the present day and covering one day, and the other set in the past and following the complicated story of Oliver and Ciara’s romance.

The series’ producers explain that while Catherine Ryan Howard’s novel is set during a pandemic lockdown, the series is not set during COVID and is not a pandemic story.

Prime Video’s “56 Days” is set to premiere globally on February 18th.
