Just dropped: Pringles’ full Big Game ad: A 30-second ad called “Pringleleo” featuring pop star Sabrina Carpenter. It has a quirky romantic vibe, with Pringles as an unexpected romantic partner.

The ad, which runs during the third quarter, introduces fans to Pringleleo, a human created out of Pringles crisps. It playfully reimagines modern romance with a nod to self-aware goofiness combined with the brand’s classic phrase: “Once You Pop, The Love Don’t Stop.”

In the ad, Carpenter meets the Pringles character Mr. P and begins building her dream partner from Pringles crisps. The romance starts with an instant connection and builds to red-carpet moments that get fans buzzing, culminating in an over-the-top finale. The ad plays off Carpenter’s flirtatious pop style and amplifies Pringles’ trademark quirkiness.


“Pringleleo” marks Pringles’ ninth consecutive year as the brand sponsors the Big Game ad. It follows the brand’s platform: “Once You Pop, The Pop Don’t Stop.”

But that’s not all. Pringles has launched its full Big Game ad push: social, digital, PR, and in-store promotions. There’s an additional online version that expands on the playful romance.


The brand says it has another fun connection with Carpenter: A 2017 post from the singer talking about Pringles as a fun “match made in snacking heaven.”

The Big Game airs on Feb. 8. The event marks another year brands use it as a platform to launch high-profile celebrity ads that get fans talking after the big game.
