Aaron fell while walking up the stairs in his apartment last week, his manager Katrina Fristoe told TMZ and Deadline then reported. He was hospitalized in Atlanta after collapsing and later put on life support. His condition has reportedly since stabilized and he’s currently communicating with others.

TMZ later reported that “Quinton Aaron’s wife Margarita tells TMZ … ‘He opened his eyes today and gave a thumbs up.’” They also reported that she told them that “the medical devices helping keep Quinton alive aren’t doing all the work, and he’s partially breathing on his own, which gives the family hope.”

The outlet goes on to state, “Margarita tells us her husband woke up one morning feeling sore but thought it was from a bad sleep … a few days later, with pain still in his neck and his back, Quinton was walking up the stairs when he lost feeling in his legs,” and that “doctors are still running a battery of tests to determine the source of the issue.”

The actor has been hospitalized for four days now, and Margarita told TMZ, “He’s showing a lot of improvement. We all have faith in God that he will walk out of here fully recovered.”

A GoFundMe page was created to cover Aaron’s family’s medical expenses. A total of $2,848 out of a $10,000 goal has been raised so far. The page shared that Aaron is “on life support” for a “severe blood infection.”

“When someone is this critically ill, life doesn’t pause. Bills don’t stop. Expenses continue to pile up. And no family should have to choose between focusing on their loved one’s survival and worrying about how they will make it through financially,” the fundraiser page reads in part. “That’s why we are asking for help.”

“This has been sudden, frightening, and overwhelming for his loved ones. As he fights for his life, his family is facing an immense emotional and financial burden — medical expenses, living costs, and the uncertainty of how long this road to recovery may be,” it adds.
