Stillman College will be spending part of its 150th anniversary creating a better financial future for its campus after securing up to $1,040,000 in funding through a first-of-its-kind program. The Tuscaloosa-based historically Black college was one of the 11 HBCUs chosen to become part of the HBCU Brilliance Initiative, which is tackling a history of inequality by providing each institution with $40,000 grants, up to $1 million in low-interest financing and opportunities to expand their network of financial experts and advisors.
