Norfolk State football fans can park at home games for free. Here’s how

The Michael Vick effect at Norfolk State has now reached the Tidewater infrastructure.

In conjunction with the city of Norfolk and Hampton Roads Transit, Norfolk State has announced free parking and bus rides for each Spartans home football game this season.

According to NBC affiliate WAVY10 TV, “MacArthur South and North garages will be free for patrons and NSU buses will drive fans to the stadium from MacArthur South garage. The Tide will also provide free rides two hours before and after gameday.”

The announcement comes in preparation for the beginning of the new era of NSU football under Vick, the Newport News legend who went on a stellar career in the NFL as a quarterback before accepting the Norfolk State job this past winter.

Vick’s home debut will be Thursday, Aug. 28, at 7 pm against Towson on the ESPN family of networks.
